Worker's Compensation Fraud Check

Worker's Compensation fraud alone costs American businesses an estimated $5 billion annually. This search will identify an applicant's history of injuries while on the job. The ADA requires that these records be used only after an offer of employment and should be used to accommodate the needs of the applicant.

Medicaid Sanctions

This search will identify individuals or employers who have had sanctions brought against them for a crime committed in association with a healthcare-related state or federally funded agency. Parties with sanctions against them are excluded from Medicare, Medicaid, childcare, social services and ALL federal health care programs.

Driver's Records (MVR)

This report is essential on any employee who drives a vehicle on company business, as the employer is liable for their actions whether they are driving a personal or company vehicle. Protect yourself by obtaining a driving record for all employees with driving responsibilities. The report contains state driving record information dating back at least three years and possibly up to seven years.

Military History

Is obtained through the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis. A copy of the full military record is available as well as a copy of the DD214 (discharge summary).

OIG/GSA Excluded Parties Search

Is conducted through the Health & Human Services computerized database, which provides a list of Individuals / Entities that are excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, and other Health Care Programs. If you are a healthcare provider who receives funds from federal healthcare programs, you are required to verify that no employee is in this list.

INS/SSA Identity Check

In addition to the traditional credit header product, we offer the INS verification that absolutely verifies an individual's social security number and his/her right to work in the US. This same verification also verifies citizenship. PeopleTrail can provide you with the details of the special requirements you must meet in order to utilize this service.

Patriot Act/OFAC Search

Although the Patriot Act doesn't cover background checks for employment purposes, some Clients have chosen to search the OFAC database. This database is maintained by the Department of Treasury and identifies individuals and organizations which have been sanctioned and whose assets are subject to freezing. The purpose of this database is to prevent businesses from providing financial support to terroristic and drug trafficking foreign nationals and organizations. In the event that a candidate's name is found on this list, the Client is required to notify the Department of the Treasury.

Interpol Search

This is a search of a list of internationally wanted individuals, mostly criminals.
